About the project
"Matters of Love and Death" is the first solo record of Corrado Nuccini, guitarist and singer of Italy's finest rock group Giardini di Mirò. Although - or because - some people might call it an "alternative hip hop" record, we chose not to use a visual language associated with hip hop culture. Instead we decided for a sophisticated and classic look, because it fits Nuccini's personality so much better (he studied philosophy and Italian literature and has neither been to the Bronx nor worn baggy pants). Together with photographer Henning Bock, we staged the musician in theatrical poses interpreting the album's title "Matters of Love and Death".
