I just stumbled across this website. It is about a fashion project called UEG. The project is the brainchild of polish duo Ania Kucznska (she is a fashion designer) and Michal Lojewski (he is a graphic designer) from warsaw. I have always had a crush on concepts that deal with momentariness and that is what UEG products do. Their garments are made of paper-like material called Tyvek (you can even machine wash them cold) and the designs printed on it are intended to fade, crack and gradually disappear.

The garments are all white and come in identical stylish cardboxes. They also offer nice ipod cases and bags.

They say about themself: “UEG is a project designed to play on the concept of consumption, using laguage of symbols and icons to remind the wearer of the inconsistency of today’s existence, how everything literally washes off of us. The name ‘Use e Getta’, in italian means ‘use and throw away.’ It is this premise of desirable objects designed to deteriorate that drives the whole project.”
I think i have to get a jacket soon. If you are living in berlin you can buy it here. There are also shops in tokyo, athens and warsaw.
